Friendster blog - My graduation day

It’s time for me to write about my graduation day, before I return to the land of misery tomorrow. Haha… Sounds gloomy, but in fact, it is. I’ll be having 2 tests in a day next week. It sucks… Ok, spare you with all this distressing details. From now onwards, in this blog, I shall only write about this joyous event – my convocation.

My diploma convocation was held last Monday. Reminiscing back, the impression it left on me – hectic. Throughout that very day, everyone was busy with their own things. For me, apart from staying inside the hall to wait for my turn to receive my cert, the rest of the day was used to take photos. Luckily digital camera is invented; otherwise we’ll be using hundred rolls of conventional film. Thanks to Qian Fang, for his 1GB memory card as the day before we went to Danga Bay with the same mission – picture taking. Hehe… Well, here I would like to take the opportunity to say thanks to lots of people – my family, Wee Chieh, UTM friends and not to be left out, my KL juniors. I’m glad and touched as well, that Wee Chieh and my KL juniors managed to attend my convocation, despite all the hassles. Thanks for all the flowers, the McDull pig and Ah Bang, the teddy bear you all gave respectively. The downside – after the convocation, all of us can hardly meet up, especially now QF is already on his flight to UK.

Well, one of the best things of being a diploma graduate is that I get to have two convocations in my life, not including the one I had when I was in my kindergarten. So, if everything goes well, I’ll be having my convocation again, in around 3 years time…

Friendster blog - Tata, my hamper

How should I feel when I know that I won some goodies from CLEO magazine? Thrilled? Then, how should I feel when I learned that the redemption date was over few days ago? Sigh…

You know, I’m super duper lucky to win something from CLEO magazine as it is tough to compete with so many people who are able to obtain a copy of the magazine, even before it’s available at the newsstands, or bookstores.

By the time I saw the letter, the date for me to redeem the prize has ended. Luckily it’s just a Summer’s Eve hamper worth RM 50. If I were to win Anna Sui/CK, I’ll be knocking my head against the wall. Hope I’ll win something (even better) from the magazine in the future. Hehe…

P/S : I received the goodies after all. Thanks CLEO!! I'm still your loyal reader. =)

Friendster blog - Ipoh trip

Last week I and my friends went to KL and Ipoh. Our main destination is Ipoh and we stopped for a day at KL for the Merdeka day countdown celebration. We stayed at Pei Shan’s hostel at Bandar Utama. Having reach KL quite late, because of the bus, we’re quite tired, in fact. Speaking of the bus, instead of being an express bus, it’s more like a tourist bus. It brought us to buy local products at a rest house at Yong Peng, and then went to Seremban to drop off some passengers. But soon, all the woes have been forgotten as we saw the mesmerizing fireworks display at Ikano Power Centre. We were spellbound by the magnificent fireworks of different shape and color especially the heart-shaped and hibiscus-shaped fireworks.

The very next day we set our foot at Ipoh. This time, the trip acts as a farewell trip as Qian Fang will be leaving here for Sheffield. This will be the last time of our gathering, minus Kai Kiat, who has already ‘dumped’ us for UK. At Ipoh, our main itinerary is eating. Bean sprouts (nga choi) chicken is one of the dishes not to be missed, apart from curry chicken bread and Ipoh hor fun. Makes me hungry only… This time we stayed at QF’s place. Did lots of chatting too, not to forget heart-to-heart talk. An unforgettable trip, I daresay.

We went back to Skudai after our 3 days Ipoh trip, to attend our very own convocation/ graduation. Will blog about this in my next post…
