Birthday at Sosaku

My birthday was exactly a week ago. Initially I thought of setting up my blog earlier or at least on that day, as a birthday present for myself. Years (or decades) later, I can looked back here and think, 'Wow, what a memorable birthday gift I had for myself'. It had jotted the every little bit of my life, from 23 years old onwards. How meaningful it would be. But due to my own nature, procrastination being a part of my life, I only started it a few days ago. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope that I can still maintain this blog by then.
Last week, my friends celebrated my 23rd birthday at Sosaku Japanese Buffet Restaurant. To make things easier, I’ll start photoblog-ing here.

Here is some of the food we ordered. Initially I had a preconceived idea that everything is spread on a huge table, and we can take whatever we like, or there will be Kaiten-Zushi, where there will be unlimited supply of sushi. It turned out that we had to order from the menu, and only then they will prepare it.

This is Wee Chieh with the present she gave me. It’s a sheep from bearyhip but why sheep? Well, sheep is from the goat family and so is Capricorn. Maybe they're distant cousins? Hard to say. By the way, Wee Chieh named it 阿祝, as it means 'celebration'.

The girls start snapping pictures of themselves while waiting for the food to be digested, in order to get ready for the next round. Due to space constrain, I’ll only feature Yung Chian here.

Now, I shall show you the difference between with and without flash while taking photos. See the difference? On the left, Ho Sheng has the same skin tone as mine. The pic next to it was taken with flash. So, it turned out to be ‘black and white’.

Actually, apart from us, my juniors were there too, to celebrate Frankie’s birthday, which happens to share the same birthday with me. Here is our group photo. Quite a number of people, right? We nearly booked the whole restaurant.

Me and Frankie

I persuaded them to take this picture with me. It had been a long time since we last taken such pictures. Love you, my dear juniors, for being so obedient and cooperating. =)

How will a birthday be without a cake? How am I going to make a wish, blowing out the candles if I don't have any cake? Luckily Wee Chieh and Hsin Ching were thoughtful enough to do so. Thanks, girls!!

Anyway, that's all on my birthday. A note to myself: Never go Sosaku again, unless I want to try again the over-fried soft shell crab, dry ebiko, etc...Go Shogun instead.

aww...So now you are 23. Can you imagine how nice is that for being matured so fast? Or in other words...getting "xxx" that fast. =P
Anyway, great to see the photo - Not you guys but the foods. =)

=P You won't understand the beauty/charm of getting older, cos you will only remain as 'cute cute'. lol. Btw, pics can be deceiving. The food were not that nice as it seemed to be.
